Join us on a 4-mile snowshoe trek on the Ceran St. Vrain trail. Starting at 8,000 feet the trail drops 400 feet in a two-mile trek down the St. Vrain valley, then the trail twists its way through the forest along the St. Vrain River, with a couple of places on the trail rising 100 feet above to the river. Name: Emerald Mountain East Portal Hike
Event Information:
We'll hike 4.5 miles along the Wind River southwest of the YMCA of the Rockies in Rocky Mountain National Park. Starting at 8400 feet, the passes the East Portal reservoir sharply raises for a quarter of a mile until entering a lovely serene forest. The trail borders the Wind River - a place of solitude. Bring ice cleats and gaiters. Class B, moderate with 800 foot elevation gain. Name: Empire to Georgetown Stage Coach Trail Hike
Event Information:
Join us for a 4.5-mile hike on the old stage coach road, hugging the side of the mountain, above I-70 between Empire and Georgetown. This will be a Class A, easy-to-moderate hike with 300 foot elevation drop/gain. We will stop by the Georgetown Visitor Center, and break for a light lunch in a Georgetown restaurant. Name: Camp Out at the Picketwire Canyonlands
Event Information:
Join us on a group camp out (May 16-19) in Comanche National Grassland, southeast of La Junta, Colorado. It will be a unique experience – we’ll explore and hike 11 miles of the 200-300 foot deep Picketwire Canyon, which was carved out over millions of years ago by the Purgatorie River. We'll also see the ruins of the old mission church and petroglyphs on the Sandstone cliff wall. If the river is low enough to navigate, we will walk across the Purgatorie River to view the 150 million year old dinosaur tracks encased in sedimentary rock along side the river bank. Name: Pedal the Platte – Bike Ride Fundraiser
Event Information:
Join us for Pedal the Platte 2008. This Memorial Day weekend event is now in its fourth year and has built a following because it’s fun and non-competitive – open to riders of all ages and skill levels. Participants can ride 10, 20 or 30 miles along Denver 's scenic South Platte River trail. Event registration includes a t-shirt, food and entertainment.
Cost: $35 Adults (after 5/12/08 $40); $10 Youth (age 12 and under) riding with a Parent/Family Member.
FREE Registration - Register 4 riders and the 5th rider's registration is free. (Registrations must be submitted together via mail to the office).
Raffle:
Can't make the event? Buy a $2 raffle ticket and be eligible to win the Grand Prize a $300 REI Gift Card. Prize winners need not be present to win.

Join us for a tour of the vineyards of the Santa Ynez Valley and visit wine tasting rooms in the town of Solvang, California for a 3 day / 2 night tour (June 10 – June 12). Event Information:
Tour Quebec Canada’s Gaspésie Peninsula along the shores of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Gulf of St. Lawrence from July 10 -17, 2008.
