Pedal the Platte 2008 was superb!

We had blue skies and over 200 bicyclists ride in our fun, Memorial Day Weekend charity bike event on Saturday, May 24, 2008. Riders of all ages pedaled mountain bikes, road bikes and cruisers for 10, 20 and 30 miles along Denver’s scenic South Platte River bike trail. Some riders even toted their tots with bike trailers.

Proceeds from Pedal the Platte benefited Beckwourth’s award-winning Outdoor Education Center for youth. The OEC is a free, year-round mentoring and leadership development program for metro Denver youth, ages 8 – 18. Since its inception in 1998, the program has benefited over 1000 metro Denver kids.
